Banana Nut Waffles

Waffles is a popular American breakfast item.This dish is inspired from the Pecan waffles the “Waffle house” chain of restaurants has.
Preparation time:10 minutes

Serves:4 thin waffles(2 thick waffles-belgian)


Ingredients:
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon oil/butter
2 teaspoons baking powder
pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 ripe banana, mashed
1/2 tablespoon chopped walnuts

Procedure:
1.Heat the waffle iron.
2.Mash the banana in a food processor (or in a bowl with a whisk)

3.Add egg and beat until fluffy. Add the remaining ingredients except walnuts and pulse only until all ingredients are incorporated.
4.Add the walnuts.
5.Pour batter onto the hot waffle iron. Close lid and let cook to your required browning level. Carefully remove waffle.

Tips:
Serve with banana slices and chopped walnuts and pancake syrup/honey/maple syrup.You can also add some whipped cream on top.
