A simple and decadent Chocolate fudge icing for icing cupcakes or cakes.
Preparation time:20 minutes
1/2 cup (1 sticks) unsalted butter softened
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups powdered sugar
1⁄3 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch fine sea salt
1 tablespoons lukewarm milk
1.Start with whisking the butter and shortening in a bowl.
2.Add 1 cup at a time of powdered sugar and continue mixing until the mixture turns pale and creamy. Should not be too runny.
3.Add the Cocoa powder and keep whisking until a smooth consistency is obtained.Add the milk and vanilla extract and salt and whisk well.
If the mixture is too runny add more sugar.
While adding milk add slowly to make sure it doesn’t make the mixture runny.
This can be used for frosting cupcakes or icing cakes.
