Aratikaya Kura-Plantain Curry

This is an Indian Plantain dish tempered and sauted and served with rice or roti.
Preparation time:
Servings:4

Ingredients:
2 cups of plantain pieces chopped into small pieces.
4-6 green chilies minced
3/4 cup onions finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
salt to taste
2 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon mustard,
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

1/2 teaspoon chana dal
1/2 teaspoon urad dal
1 spring curry leaves
1 clove garlic 
Procedure:
1.Heat oil in a pan and add chana dal and urad dal and saute until they are slightly brown.
2.Add cumin,mustard,turmeric and curry leaves and let splutter.
3.Add the garlic,green chilies  and chopped onion and saute for 3-4 minutes.
4.Add the plantain pieces,salt and saute.Add water to cover the plantain pieces.Place a lit and cook on medium flame until the plantain is completely cooked.
6.Adjust salt and add red chili powder if more spice is needed and turn off the stove.
Tips: 
Do not use a ripened plantain as your curry might turn out sweet.
