I had some leftover cashew paste in the fridge and i could not think of anything but mushrooms that goes so well with cashew paste.

Ingredients
2 cups mushrooms chopped
2 tablespoons cashew paste(about 1/2 cup cashews ground)
6 green chilies
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup chopped onions
salt to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp chili powder
a pinch of asafoetida
1/4 cup peas
1/2 teaspoon mustard
1/ teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoons oil
2 cups mushrooms chopped

1/2 teaspoon mustard

2 teaspoons oil
Procedure:
1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and cumin seeds and let splutter.
2.Now add the cut onions and turmeric and saute for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.
3.Add the green chilies and fry saute for a minute.
4.Add ginger-garlic paste, asafotida and fry for 1 minute .
5.Add peas and saute for 1 minute.
6.Add the mushrooms and saute for 3-4 minutes.
7.Add the cashew paste and 2 cups of water and red chili powder and salt and simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the mushrooms are cooked.
Tips:
Tastes best with roti or chapatis.
